75th Anniversary

As we approach a momentous milestone in our community’s history, we are excited to announce the 75th Anniversary of the Ashford Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD), established in 1950. This significant anniversary not only marks a three-quarter century of dedicated service and commitment to the safety and well-being of our beloved town but also provides an opportunity to celebrate the legacy and spirit of the AVFD.

To commemorate this historic event, we are planning a grand 75th Anniversary Celebration on September 6th, 2025 on the stunning grounds of Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The celebration will kick off with a parade onto the property, led by the CT Firefighters Pipes & Drums, showcasing our fire trucks and apparatus. The parade will conclude at the at the Cabin Circle where a day full of fun and festivities awaits. Attendees can look forward to games, food, drinks, and raffles, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.
